JOHNNY Cash fans can walk the line of the country musician's life at a special tribute concert this Saturday.
Attendees of Johnny Cash: The Concert will take a musical journey spanning the music legend's entire career, led by tribute artist Daniel Thompson.
Thompson said starring in the show was an honour.
"I was playing Johnny Cash in Class of '59 and we played in Ipswich," he said. "This show will be a bit different. I won't be playing a character, rather I'll be performing a tribute show with some of his best-known songs and hidden gems.
"It's a show we hope Cash himself would like to hear."
Thompson said Johnny Cash's songs "speak to lots of different generations".
"They're a challenge to sing, but I'd be happy singing them for the rest of my life.
"There's also a big cross-section of people who love his music, from 18-year-olds to 80-year-olds."
Johnny Cash: The Concert will run from 7.30pm in the Ipswich Civic Centre. Tickets, $65, from ipswichciviccentre.com.au.
