Swift water crew rescue horse from Bremer River

FIREFIGHTERS came to the rescue of a horse stuck in the muddy banks of the Bremer River yesterday afternoon.

QFRS swift water technicians worked for nearly three hours to help the horse swim further down the river to a boat ramp where it was successfully rescued.

The swift water crew used a boat supplied by the horse's owner to guide the horse to safety.

A QFRS spokesperson said the horse was exhausted by the time it made it back to land.
