Service station attendant beaten by robbers

POLICE are investigating the robbery of a North Ipswich service station which left a staff member with facial bruising last night.

Around 11.30pm, four male juveniles entered the Pine Street store and assaulted a male store attendant before stealing a rubbish bin lid and fleeing the store.

An hour later, the juveniles returned to the store and stole a sum of chip packets.

The store attendant sustained bruising and swelling to the face.
