Body discovered in search for missing Buderim teenager

UPDATE 5PM: A body has been found in Buderim close to where police have been searching for missing teenager Dylan Daure.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman confirmed that a body was found in bushland near Ballinger Ct at Buderim just after 4pm.

"The body has yet to be identified," the spokesman said.

Police have cordoned off a vacant block of land on Ballinger Ct.

Emergency services have been scouring the nearby area for 19-year-old Dylan since Sunday.

He was seen leaving the Buderim Tavern on Burnett St about 12.30am on Saturday.

SES crews assisted police searching bushland around Martin's Creek where it was believed he may have gone missing.

Police believe Mr Daure may have been spotted walking east on Main St towards Buderim Mountain State School, where police found two piles of his clothing.

Up to 42 SES volunteers were involved in the search on New Year's Eve, with 20 continuing on today.

A swift water rescue team from Queensland Fire and Rescue Service were also called in to look in Martins Creek and other nearby waterways.
