Scum ruined our dream of a lifetime

HEARTLESS thieves have crushed the dreams of would-be grey nomads Jim and Mavis Rogers.

The scumbags broke into a locked holding yard and stole the Rogers' $18,500 caravan.

The couple, in their 70s, had been fitting it out to take across Australia to visit family.

Now they may have to cancel the Christmas trip they had been planning for two years.

The caravan had been fully-outfitted, ready to go.

"It's taken years off my life, absolutely," Mr Rogers (right) said.

"Had the caravan been empty, it would have been bad enough, but to know some scumbags are using our stuff, sleeping on our clean sheets, that's what really disturbs me.

A family of six could live in it comfortably."

Mr and Mrs Rogers, who live in a Mountain Creek retirement community, wanted to visit their daughter and four grandsons in Adelaide.
