Scorching weather on the way

IPSWICH residents could be facing four consecutive days of stifling heat next week.

The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast maximum temperatures ranging from 35 next Tuesday, to 40 on Wednesday.

Tops of 35 and then 37 have been predicted for Thursday and Friday respectively.

Ipswich residents have already experienced a hotter-than-average start to the month, with tops of 31, 38, 33 and 31 recorded for the first four days.
