'Robbed' Mundine told to take defeat on the chin

ANTHONY Mundine claimed he was "robbed" after his unanimous points loss to IBF middleweight world champion Daniel Geale in Sydney on Wednesday night.

Two judges scored it 117-111 in Geale's favour, while the other scored him a 116-112 winner, but "the Man" was still fuming about the loss yesterday morning.

"Hate seriously blinds people! I dictated last night caught him with more shots & power shots! Told you this would happen if didn't ko him!"

Mundine tweeted.Geale was not about to trade verbal blows with Mundine.

"He has made a few comments already about what he thinks about the fight and that is all a bit disappointing, but probably what you would expect," the Tasmanian said.

Geale's good mate, Australian and Pan Asian Boxing Association middleweight champion Jarrod Fletcher, said he was dumbfounded by Mundine's claims.

"There is no doubt he (Mundine) is still a dangerous boxer - he was fighting against the best in the world in Gealey, and he made it tough for him," Fletcher, No.7 in the WBA rankings, said.

"It was a great fight. He (Mundine) lost ... plain and simple. He should have just copped it sweet and just move on.

"I know Mundine is 37, but I still think he's got a future in the game - he should just drop the circus act and concentrate on fighting though."
