Pooches dress to impress
DOZENS of dogs and a few cute cats have already been dressed in their best and captured on camera for the Pimp Your Pet competition.
Entries have flooded in for The Queensland Times Facebook competition, which began on Tuesday.
Pimp Your Pet aims to find Ipswich's most stylish pet and reward them with a $250 Petbarn voucher and $250 Harvey Norman voucher.
Dogs have dominated the competition so far, including the stylish pooches featured here.
Bundy the collie exuded effortless elegance in a hat, and owner Annette Mathewson said her dog loved the outdoors.
"Bundy loves playing in the sun but even a dog should be sun smart," Annette said.
A few dogs were dressed in a Christmas theme, including bull terrier Ralphy.
Ralphy's owner, Connie Suesee, said he loved his elf costume.
"Ralphy is one very pimped up pooch for Christmas," she said.
Dressed in a pink tracksuit and posing perfectly, Corky the terrier was another adorable entrant.
Owner Wendy Blakeston explained the hilarious reason behind Corky's choice of fashion.
"Even though Corky has an outfit for every season and event, she really is still just 'Corky from the block'," Wendy said.
Cats also star in Pimp Your Pet, and a lazy lizard has even entered - she's pictured relaxing on a miniature lounge.
A gallery of entries is viewable at qt.com.au or via QT - The Queensland Times Facebook page.
Pimp Your Pet closes on Thursday November 1, so there is plenty of time left to enter.
