Police search for robbery suspect

POLICE have released images of a suspect in the armed robbery of a Bundamba grocery store.

A man entered the Brisbane Rd shop about 6.20pm on May 26, threatening the attendant with a knife while demanding money.

The male victim was order to stand at the back of the store after opening the till, with the robber taking an undisclosed sum of cash.

The shop attendant was not physically harmed during the robbery.

Police said the armed bandit was last seen running away from the scene along Braeside Rd, which is just around the corner from the store.

The offender was described as Caucasian, about 175cm tall, of average build with short blonde hair.

He was last seen wearing jeans, a black jumper, a white baseball cap and a pair of black gloves.

He was carrying a black bag during the robbery.
