Police seize truck following hit and run

POLICE are speaking to the driver of a truck as investigations continue into a fatal hit and run on the Warrego Highway west of Ipswich.

A 27-year-old man was killed as he walked along the highway at Helidon early Sunday.

Police believe the man had just left a party in Toowoomba and was walking towards Helidon, about 20km away.

A truck has been seized and police are interviewing the driver.

No charges have been laid.
