Police revive 'sex offender'

A MAN will face court later this month charged with rape and sexual assault.

Police responded to reports of a domestic disturbance at a Redbank Plains house on April 26, arriving to find that a woman had been attacked and the alleged offender was attempting to commit suicide.

The officers were able to revive the 44-year-old man, who was clinically dead when they arrived, and he was rushed to hospital.

Ipswich detectives charged the man with several offences, including two counts of rape, upon his release from hospital on the weekend.
