Large sum of cash stolen during Oakey hotel break-in
POLICE are appealing for public assistance after thieves stole a significant sum of cash during a burglary of the Grand Hotel in Oakey.
Preliminary investigations indicate sometime between 3am and 5am yesterday unknown offenders gained entry into the hotel and stole a sum of cash from the safe before leaving in an unknown direction.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen anything unusual or anyone acting suspiciously in the area to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
