Pearce vows to change his 'bad-boy' ways this NRL season

MITCHELL Pearce found himself linked with more than one glamour partner last year, and as a result, a number of gossip columns.

But the Roosters halfback vowed to put his party-boy ways behind him, after inking a four-year extension at the Bondi club yesterday, keeping him there until the end of 2017.

"I definitely partied a bit too hard last year," the playmaker said.

"But I put that behind me and learned from my mistakes."

Pearce admitted he wasn't happy last year as the Roosters struggled under former coach Brian Smith, finishing 13th.
But he has come back in 2013 reinvigorated under former Catalans Dragons mentor Robinson.

"No I wasn't (happy) at times. We weren't going great ... but it didn't take my love away from the club one bit," Pearce said.

"I'm just trying to be a bit more professional. I've been put into the leadership group."
