Pattinson likely to miss rest of Test
AUSTRALIAN fast bowler James Pattinson is likely to miss the rest of the second Test, after leaving the field early on day three with a side strain.
The 22-year-old paceman left the Adelaide Oval, complaining of pain along his left side, during the opening session on Saturday against South Africa.
Pattinson was sent for scans and although results may not be revealed until Monday, Grandstand understands he is unlikely to return for the rest of the Test.
Like fellow young tyro Patrick Cummins, injuries have curtailed the exciting start to Pattinson's international career, in which he has taken 31 wickets in seven Tests.
The express quick missed most of last summer with a foot injury, and suffered from stress fractures in his back as a teenager.
