IT IS not every day your club gets a visit from an Olympian.

But the South Burnett PCYC played host to Australian Olympic gymnast Larrissa Miller at Murgon on Monday.

Miller was a member of the Australian women's artistic gymnastics team, which competed at this year's London Olympics.

The visiting Olympian gave coaching advice to the budding South Burnett PCYC gymnasts.

She also put on a show of her extraordinary athletic abilities, by performing her floor routine and exploits on the bars.

The 20 year old spent her early years in the Queensland country town of Moranbah before moving to Brisbane at the age of seven, to train at the Queensland Academy of Sport.

Miller said the South Burnett PCYC reminded her of her old club at Moranbah.

"I'm really passionate about little clubs like this, as it reminds me of where I started," she said.

"Where you start doesn't determine where you get to."
