Motors in Motion a buzz
MORE than 3500 people enjoyed the second Motors in Motion event at Kingaroy Airport last Saturday.
Event co-ordinator Kevin Krosch said the event drew a big roll-up of planes, cars, motorbikes, and tractors.
"Everybody had something to watch all the time," he said.
Highlights of the event included the Russian Antonov An-2, which is the largest single-engine biplane in the world. It was taking people on joy flights throughout the day.
The Oakey Army Aviation Kiowa helicopter also drew a large crowd, and the remote- controlled model aircraft were the biggest attraction.
"They were phenomenal," Mr Krosch said. "They astounded me."
Cars came from Brisbane, Gympie and Gladstone as well as locally, and even with extra food stalls, most ran out of food by the end of the day.
Mr Krosch said Fashion through the Years had also been fantastic.
