Motorcycle crash on Northbrook Parkway near Wivenhoe Dam

A 20-YEAR-OLD has crashed his bike on the notorious Northbrook Parkway near Wivenhoe Dam.

The man crashed on the road a short distance along the road from the intersection with Wivenhoe-Somerset Rd about 11.35am today.

First emergency services crews on the scene about 35km north west of Ipswich reported the man was conscious and breathing but may have had leg injuries.

Northbrook Parkway has been the scene of many motorbike crashes over the years, usually caused by excessive speed on the winding road.
