Ipswich motorcycle rider dies in crash with truck
AN IPSWICH man died after he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a truck at Mt Glorious on Thursday.
Police said the 39-year-old Camira man was heading up the range on Mt Glorious Rd about 2pm when he crossed a double white line and fell underneath a seven-tonne pantech truck that was heading in the opposite direction.
He died at the scene.
Mt Glorious Rd, near the intersection of Mt Nebo Rd, was blocked in both directions for several hours while police from the forensic crash unit did their investigations.
Police were not sure what caused the rider to lose control of the motorcycle.
