More rain on way today with system to roll in on Friday

SUNSHINE Coast Council local disaster co-ordinator Alan "Fox" Rogers said another 25mm was expected to fall across the Coast today.

"Over the next six to eight hours we can expect some heavy showers," Mr Rogers said.

"The rivers have peaked and have started to go above their peaks.

"The outlook is more showers and another rain system coming from the West on Friday night to Saturday.

"It is too early to tell how much rain we can expect."
