DRY, hot and sunny - the ideal conditions for a festival.

And Woodford folk festival goers are lapping it up.

It is day two of the festival and the atmosphere is magical.

Event organisers are expecting more people to arrive over the weekend in the lead up to new years.

Musicians are mixing with fans and creating a massive buzz.

First time festival performer, Sunshine Coast singer-songwriter Mia Wray was spotted in the crowd.

The songstress, has four shows and two mystery bus gigs at the festival.

She said being at Woodford was a surreal experience.

"The are huge acts such as Kate Miller-Heidke, Angus and Julia Stone and Emma Louise performing - and I am here performing," she said.

"I am making the most of every moment."

She said her favorite moment at the festival so far had been seeing Angus Stone - without his shirt on.
