Man seriously injured in crash

A MAN has been seriously injured after being thrown from his vehicle in a crash at Springfield this morning.

Police say the man's Holden Commodore rolled after failing to negotiate a roundabout near the Caltex service station on Augusta Parkway about 4am.

The driver has been taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

The road was closed for several hours while the Forensic Crash Unit began investigations.

It was reopened about 8am.
