WHEN taking part in a fight, Ipswich tanner Kaleb Blayne Kaio seems to prefer boxer shorts to boxing shorts.
The 28-year-old shed his clothes down to his underwear when he challenged a group of people to fight during a drunken night out.
At Ipswich Magistrates Court this week, Kaio pleaded guilty to one count of committing a public nuisance in the vicinity of a licensed premise.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Jo Colston said police were called to a disturbance near Cocktails Nightclub in Ipswich Central about 2am on November 14.
When they arrived on the scene they found Kaio standing in the street, dressed only his boxer shorts.
Kaio was drunkenly waving a large metal strip and enticing a group of people to fight him. When questioned by police, Kaio said the group he was threatening had been abusive towards him.
Defence lawyer Michael Kelly said Kaio had a problem with alcohol and that he had recently found a work preparing cow skins for leather.
Magistrate Deborah Vasta said it was the third time Kaio had appeared in court for public nuisance behaviour. Kaio was put on a year's probation and banned from parts of Ipswich City between 8pm and 5am for a year.
