Man, 28, charged after head found on Rottnest Island
A MAN has been charged with murder following the discovery of a man's head on Rottnest Island in Western Australia.
Reports from West Australian media said 28-year-old Aaron Carlino was charged with murdering 56-year-old Stephen Ramon Cookson on December 15.
It is understood Mr Cookson's head was found in a bag that washed up on Rottnest Island several days ago.
Carlino appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Friday, with a further hearing set for early February.
