Look who's talking at boot camp
WEARING military camouflage during a speech won't help you disappear into the background, but it will come in handy for a public speaking boot camp.
Which is exactly what the Bremer Forum is holding to help would-be public speakers brush up on their skills.
The Bremer Forum president Leanne Walker said the boot camp would up the ante for accomplished speakers and train up those less familiar with standing behind a podium.
"It's all about helping people to realise their full potential so they can go out to the community and make a difference," she said.
"Public speaking is about the delivery. It doesn't matter how important the message is."
Ms Walker said people from all professions had enrolled in the boot camp.
The group next meets on July 24.
