Lap up the fun and help RSPCA
THE Kingaroy RSPCA shelter is fundraising to keep their heads above water.
The local shelter, which houses 45 cats and 60 dogs at any one time, is seeing more animals in need of their care.
Upcoming fundraisers including an online Facebook auction and a bowling event have been planned to help the shelter maintain its operations.
Animal assistant Petrina Brown said proceeds from the fundraisers would go towards the shelter's facilities.
"We are a charity that runs at a loss so these events and fundraisers are important to keep us going," she said.
And the RSPCA is in need of more support than ever at this time of year.
"It's coming into breeding season so we have been extra busy," Ms Brown said.
The Kingaroy RSPCA bowling fundraiser will be held at the Kingaroy Bowling Alley on November 9 from 5.30pm. Phone 41625501.
