Lady Gaga requests specific tea
LADY Gaga requests a particular brand of tea on her rider when she is travelling.
The singer insists on drinking only British tea label PG Tips while backstage at concerts and TV shows around the globe.
The American star developed a liking for the beverage while touring the United Kingdom in 2009, according to her best friend.
Now Lady Gaga - whose real name is Stefani Germanotta - makes sure she has the drink available on her event food and drink requests list.
Heavy rock DJ Lady Starlight, 36, who is on the pop sensation's current music tour, confirmed that it is a requirement for the act - who famously carries a teacup around with her.
She told The Sun newspaper: "PG Tips are always on the rider. It's the best black tea and she makes sure it's on the list, wherever we play."
A PG Tips spokeswoman said: "We are delighted Lady Gaga has such impeccable taste."
An insider revealed that all alcohol at her Aviva show this weekend has been banned from dressing rooms and she requested a selection of dishes including roast chicken and vegetarian hotdogs.
