Jeff Gordon in trouble with NASCAR after brawl

IT might pay four-time NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon to think twice before intentionally taking out a rival in future.

Gordon has been fined $US100,000, stripped of points and put on probation after deliberately taking out Clint Bowyer in the Phoenix International on Sunday.

After the race, which saw an all-in brawl between members of both camps, Gordon said; "Things just got escalated over the year, and I'd just had it.

Clint has run into me numerous times, wrecked me, and he got into me on the back straightaway and pretty much ruined our day. I've had it, fed up with it and I got him back."
