BLUESFEST deliver one more announcement before Christmas.

Their gift to punters features Spanish roots singer Manu Chao and his band La Ventura as well as Grammy Award-winning singer/ songwriter Jason Mraz in the top spots.

Peter Noble, festival director, flew to the United States last week to finalise negotiations with some of the trickier acts.

"We have really gone out there this year and covered every significant music genre to make sure the younger audience, as well as the older one, is going to have the time of their life at Bluesfest," Mr Noble said.

Rounding off the rest of the last announcement for this year is Mark Seymour and The Undertow, Chris Smither, Current Swell, Matt Andersen, Go Jane Go and The McMenamins.

There was speculation last week Bruce Springsteen may be on this week's announcement after the Born In The USA star's tour dates across the country fell in line with the Easter festival dates. Though this is not the case.

Bluesfest has also been nominated for a prestigious Pollstar Award for international festival of the year.
