Jade's sculpted bod is the tops
JADE McKee has plenty of people coming up to her to ask just how she does it. How does she look so trim, taut and terrific?
The answer is in reach for anyone with the dedication to follow in her footsteps.
Ms McKee came first in the recent Queensland INBA Natural Body Building titles in her fitness model division and won the best overall title from 59 other competitors.
Trained by Marian Leonard at Body Boutique Personalised Training in Ipswich, the 28-year-old from Raceview does what is known as body sculpting.
"My husband Adam got me started," she said.
"He trained for his first comp last year. I went along and watched and thought, 'I'm going to do this next year'.
"It is great health-wise and many people see the changes I have made and say, 'Tell me how you are doing it'."
The remarkable fact is that Ms McKee is not over the top with her training. Sure, she is committed, but her program is within reach of anyone who is dedicated enough.
"My body is responding so quickly to everything I eat that I don't have to do anything too crazy. I'm not deprived of anything," she said.
"I still get my cheat meals every week. I eat six times a day - lean chicken, lean fish, mince, broccoli, salads, brown rice and sweet potatoes... I'm never hungry.
"I train every morning for an hour and a half doing weights. With my cardio I only have to do 20 minutes every week... and that is mostly walking."
Ms Leonard said her star student "has the X-factor and can project her personality on stage".
Ms McKee will contest the nationals next weekend.
