ANOTHER Darling Downs Olympic Games hopeful has fallen foul of team-mates and officials after Dalby boxer Damien Hooper was expelled from the national team's training camp in Canberra.

Hot on the heels of the saga surrounding former Toowoomba rower Pippa Savage's axing from the women's quad scull crew for the London Olympics, Hooper was removed from the Olympic team's training camp due to "general behaviour breaches towards the national coach, fellow Olympic team members and management", according to a statement released by Boxing Australia CEO Kable Kelleway.

Hooper, considered Australia's best chance of winning a medal in boxing at the London Olympics, will be welcomed back to the national team's preparation camp when he agrees to improve his manners and respect towards officials, coaches and other team members.

The 20-year-old will contest the light heavyweight division at London.

This is a much better situation for Hooper than the one Savage encountered, as she was kicked off the women's quad scull crew for the London Games.

She appealed the decision and was reinstated in part as a non-travelling reserve.
