Hip-pocket boost for families with Schoolkids Bonus
THE hip-pockets of families around the country were given a boost on Wednesday, when the first Schoolkids Bonus payments started flowing into bank accounts.
Under the payment, 1.3 million families would be getting a boost for back-to-school costs of up to $410 for each primary school-aged child and up to $820 for each high school student in the family.
Half of each payment has started being transferred by the Federal Government on Wednesday, with all payments due to be completed in the next fortnight.
The second round of the Schoolkids Bonus would be transferred to families in July.
