Thieves steal pets from home

AN IPSWICH woman is appealing to cold-hearted thieves who stole her pet guinea pigs and two hutches in the early hours of Saturday to return them.

Bundamba woman Ursula Stablum, from High St, woke to find her beloved pets, including three pregnant females, had been stolen during the night.

"I can't believe that anyone would steal someone else's pets and it breaks my heart to think that they might not be cared for as much as we cared for them," Mrs Stablum said yesterday. "We fed them organic vegetables, they were dewormed on a regular basis and the pregnant ones were put on extra vitamin supplements. It is not like they took a thing such as a mobile phone, they took beloved pets that need love and caring for which is a huge responsibility."

A cash reward is being offered for anyone who may see the hutches and animals in a yard. Phone 0421 436 86 007 or 3389 4204.
