GOOMERI will be the place to be this New Year's Eve.

The annual Goomeri New Year's Eve Show Rodeo will take place on Monday with a great night of riding at Goomeri Showgrounds to welcome in the new year.

Bull, saddle and bareback ride events will be held on the night.

Gates will open from 4pm and riding will get under way from 5pm.

Other events to be held include rope and tie, steer wrestling, barrel race, breakaway and team roping, novice bull and poddy ride.

Motoring enthusiasts will also be entertained by the ute show which will be held early in the afternoon.

Entry is $20 for adults and $15 for pensioners and high school students.

Primary school students will be able to enter for free.

Live entertainment will be provided with James Anderson performing until late.
