A BUS, car and boat have been destroyed in a shed fire at Laidley this morning.

Firefighters were called to a property on Laidley-Plainland Rd about 5am, where a large hay shed was well alight.

Half a dozen crews fought the flames for more than an hour before they were able to inspect the charred remains.

Police were called to the scene to investigate but said later there was nothing suspicious about the blaze.

A boat battery - connected to a charger - was found near the source of the fire and was thought to have triggered the blaze. Police said the property owners were away at the time.
