FORMER Fleet Foxes member Father John Misty treated a small crowd to an intimate show at Byron's North Shore Campground.

The Channel V Guerilla Gig took place under a tent in midst of the Tepee Village.

The folk singer, real name Joshua Tillman, comically feigned surprise as he got out of a van and was greeted by the crowd.

He played five acoustic songs, and invited a few punters in Indian headdresses to come up and dance with him.

Tillman joked around with the crowd, asking if they were ready for him to crowd surf.

It was a nice warm up ahead of his set at the GW McLennan Tent, which will showcase his debut album Fear Fun, at 3.30pm today.
