Elderly man hurt in Thagoona crash
UPDATE
POLICE have reopened Karrabin-Rosewood Rd following a serious accident earlier today.
A 74-year-old man has been flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment of a serious arm injury.
He had to be cut from the wreckage of his small hatch back, following a collision with a utility at Thagoona about 1.30pm.
Police are investigating the cause of the smash.

A 75-YEAR-OLD man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash at Thagoona, west of Ipswich.
Police believe the small hatchback the man was driving east along Karrabin-Rosewood Rd veered onto the incorrect side and side-swiped a passing utility.
The vehicle was left with serious damage and the man had to be cut free by firefighters.
He is being treated for serious arm injuries but is conscious and breathing.
The driver of the other vehicle received minor injuries.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are underway.
