Elderly driver killed in single-vehicle crash

A 72-YEAR-OLD man has died in a car crash at Frazerview, about 50km south west of Ipswich, early yesterday morning.

Police say the vehicle was travelling on the Cunningham Highway when it left the road and came to a stop in a nearby paddock about 4.15am.

A 71-year-old woman, believed to be the man's wife, was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the incident and escaped unharmed.

Investigations are continuing as to whether the man died as a result of a medical condition.
