Drink and ride-on mower don't mix

POLICE have arrested a man for driving a ride-on mower around a tavern carpark on Sunday morning while almost four times the legal limit.

Police say the man rode his mower to Brothers Leagues Club earlier on Saturday night to drink.

Just before 12.30am witnesses saw him driving around the carpark on the mower.

When police got there they allegedly found a 52-year-old man asleep on the mower.

He was taken to the Ipswich Police Station where he allegedly returned a reading of 0.188.

The man, from Raceview, is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court on April 20.
