Doyle to be tried for murder

A NANANGO man has been committed to stand trial for the murder of a Laidley man.

It is alleged Stephen Doyle, 40, murdered Michael Thomsen, 37, at a Nanango party on September 3, 2011.

Doyle will plead not guilty when he stands trial at the Supreme Court in Brisbane.

Police allege Mr Thomsen was stabbed once in the chest.

He was transported to Nanango Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.
