BJELKE-Petersen Dam was a hive of activity on the weekend as South Burnett locals and visitors alike enjoyed themselves at the popular holiday attraction.

People flocked to the dam to beat the summer heat or for a spot of fishing on the tranquil waters.

The more adventurous types tried their hand at water skiing while others hit the water in their canoes and paddle boats.

And children enjoyed the school holidays by making the most of what the dam has to offer.
