Cyclists ready to pedal message
IPSWICH families will don their helmets this weekend for the second annual 24//7 Community Bike Ride.
The ride is the major annual event for the Ipswich based 24//7 Cycling Safety Fund which aims to provide safer cycling facilities for the people of Ipswich.
More than 200 cyclists took part in the inaugural ride last year and fund founder Troy Dobinson said this year's event would be bigger and better.
"It's going to be a big community festival," Mr Dobinson said.
"We're trying to get the message across that cyclists aren't aliens in lycra."
Rides begin from 8am on Sunday at Limestone Park.
