DUAL international Wendell Sailor will join the Skills Training Mackay Cutters for a training session today.
The Sarina legend is in town visiting family and will take the opportunity to stay fit and pass on some advice to the Cutters at their training at Virgin Australia Stadium.
Cutters coach Anthony Seibold said the timing couldn't be better, given Mackay's disappointing to loss to Ipswich in the Intrust Super Cup at the weekend.
"Some of our boys might be feeling a bit down after the weekend's game," he said.
"A personality like Wendell's is infectious and I'm sure it will give the boys a timely lift.
"He also brings a wealth of experience at the top level so I am sure he can pass on some valuable advice to our squad."
Cutters chief executive Glenn Ottaway agreed it was a coup for the club to have Sailor join the players for training.
"It is a great opportunity to have Wendell join us for the night. I know he came up for a fan day last year and it proved tremendously popular."
Supporters are invited to watch Sailor and the Cutters in action at training from 5.45pm at Virgin Australia Stadium.
