Girl taken to hospital after being hit by car

UPDATE 10AM: A five-year-old girl has been taken to Lady Cilento Hospital following an accident outside Brassall State School this morning.

Police say the girl was struck by a vehicle while crossing Pine Mountain Rd about 8.40am.

The girl has sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported in a stable condition.

The crossing where the girl was struck is understood to have been the source of concern for parents and staff at the school.

The QT is investigating further.

EARLIER: A five-year-old child has been run over outside Brassall State School.

Police are investigating the incident.

The incident happened about 8.30am today.
