Glennie student looks to chamber to launch career
FORMER Glennie School student Kristina Blue wants to cut her teeth in the business world before pursing a career helping others.
The 21-year-old is the new receptionist at the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
"My role at the chamber is varied," Miss Blue said.
"I am learning a vast number of new skills and I am thoroughly enjoying the work."
Miss Blue has recently completed a Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Southern Queensland.
"I graduated in September but I was not ready to proceed with that career just yet," she said.
"However, it is good to have something to fall back on though.
"I have never worked in an office environment before.
"It is giving me great experience and a different perspective on things. Hopefully it will be good for making contacts as well."
Miss Blue said that one day she would like to travel overseas, especially to South America.
