Cat caught with tunnel digging tools for jailbreak attempt

AUTHORITIES have caught a cat trained to courier mobile phones and tunnel digging tools out of a jail in Brazil.

A prison guard noticed the cat, which was frequently spotted coming in and out of the jail, with a plastic bag strapped around its body.

Closer inspection revealed the cat was carrying blades and drill parts for concrete drilling and tunnel digging, News Limited reports.

A prisoner officer said he was very surprised at the inmates' new tactic.
