Car chase ends in arrests

POLICE have arrested three people following a dramatic stolen car chase west of Ipswich.

The offenders were pursued after stealing a utility from a butcher's shop at One Mile earlier this afternoon.

The ute was involved in a traffic crash at Fernvale Rd, Brassall about 2pm before police began following it toward Marburg.

It was spotted heading west on the Warrego Highway at Marburg before doubling back and heading north on Lowood-Minden Rd.

The occupants abandoned the vehicle on Jensens Swamp Rd, Tarampa, about 2.15pm, attempting to run from police through an open paddock.

They were apprehended a short time later.

Investigations are continuing.
