THE generosity of the Bundaberg community has enabled X Factor contestant and local boy Justin Standley's daughter to fly to Sydney to see him perform live on stage.

Singing the Queen classic Bohemian Rhapsody on Tuesday night's show, Mr Standley was watched by Ophelia in the audience. Bargara woman Sheryl Gale, a friend of Mr Standley's, started the campaign to raise the money via Facebook and by collecting donations at the weekend's Beerfestabull.

"Justin is just thrilled; he can't believe how generous everyone has been," she said.

Mrs Gale said she was grateful for those who helped raise more than $1000 at the festival, and was still appealing for donations to fly over Justin's other daughter at a later date.
