Book review: Museum of Thieves
The Keepers: Museum of Thieves
AUTHOR: Liam Tanner
PUBLISHER: Allen and Unwin Aust
RRP: $15.99
MUSEUM of Thieves, the first book in The Keepers trilogy, is a magical story for children.
The characters are just frightening enough and the book is beautifully presented with wonderful drawings.
Museum of Thieves centres on Goldie Roth, an impatient and bold girl who escapes the clutches of the Blessed Guardians in the city of Jewel where impatience is a sin.
She takes refugee in the Museum of Dunt, setting in motion a story of adventure, hidden mysteries and dark secrets.
For the museum holds the secrets of the world, manned by four people, including a young boy who teams up with Goldie to fight the shadows that want to steal the secrets.
Throw in a large Brizzlehound, a bond of friendship that evil can't break and Museum of Thieves is one of the best children's books I've read in a long time.
