Possible appeal on Henderson case
QUEENSLAND'S Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie has approached the Director of Public Prosecutions for advice on a possible appeal of the sentence of Michael Daniel Henderson, who pleaded guilty to causing the deaths of three Ipswich teenagers.
Henderson was sentenced to seven years and six months in jail, but will be eligible for parole after 30 months, for the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle resulting in the death of Matthew Prior, Nicholas Saxby and Brittany Bramwell.
The Attorney-General has asked for advice on whether the sentence can be appealed on the grounds of leniency.
