Black Caviar continues her winning streak

THE world's greatest horse, a pride of Australia's racing fraternity, won its 23rd consecutive race on Saturday, beating the competition at Flemington.

Coming off the back of a marginally less-inspiring, but still victorious, performance at Flemington last June, Black Caviar romped home in the Lightning Stakes.

The thoroughbred maintained her perfect record, with an astounding win that also saw her beat the 1000m track record at the world's most famous racecourse.

It is understood Black Caviar's owners were now considering whether to run her again in Australia before her retirement to stud duties in spring.
